Lombardini are one of the largest manufacturers of diesel engines in Europe and have a dedicated marine division producing engines designed and built for a demanding environment.

Exceptionally Light

The FOCS (fully overhead controlling system) 13bp to 40hp series of exceptionally light and compact engines have been designed without compromise to reliability, low fuel consumption, noise and emissions. Employing diesel engine technology normally seen only in larger engines they conform to EC, BSO and EPA regulations on pollution and noise.

High Performance

The utilisation of Lombardini patented pump-injectors and overhead cam operation provides more accurate fuel injection with the result of improved performance and low exhaust emissions. The very accurate balancing of moving parts together with optimum combustion reduces vibration levels at all engine speeds.

Robust

The CHD (compact heavy duty) 40hp to 87hp series of engines offer the same level of engineering excellence to the heavier displacement cruisers and small workboats. Full cast iron heavy duty cylinder block, one piece cylinder head, hydraulic tappets and Lombardini QLC fuel injection system all combine to produce a rugged, reliable and efficient engine range.

Common Parts

The Lombardini engine range share many common parts through the engine models, this helps to keep cost of service items to a minimum and ensures the extensive Lombardini network. All FOCS and CHD engines are available with gearbox or Lombardini's own design and build highly efficient saildrive leg.

State of the Art

The latest engines to join the line up are the JMT195 and JMT245 at 4 cylinder 160hp and 5 cylinder 200hp, these high pressure common rail injected fully electronic controlled engines continue Lombardini's emphasis on utilising the very latest technology to produce compact and powerful engines without compromise. Available with gearbox, Mercruiser Bravo sterndrive or Volvo Penta and Mercruiser repower brackets.
