Inboard engines are located inside the boat’s hull and use a drive shaft that is connected to a propeller. Unlike an outboard, an inboard engine does not also steer the boat. Inboard engines are favourites for water sports like wakeboarding and water-skiing as they have better wake control, major towing power and a clear transom for tow ropes.
