Water Jet propulsion have many unique features, the main one being the integrated reduction and reversing gearbox with multiple gear ratio options. This provides optimum matching of the jet to the engine delivering maximum performance, manoeuvrability and efficiency. Developed in the 1960’s Castoldi are widely considered the inventor of the water jet propulsion systems. There are over 40,000 Castoldi water jets in service worldwide, installed in various types of commercial, pleasure and military vessels. The range is suitable for power inputs from 108hp to 2663hp depending on hull form and duty type.
