Our expert engineers get very busy from March onwards – so book your preferred date now!
From engine repairs, refits and parts for all leading brands such as Volvo Penta, Honda Marine, MAN and Yanmar we’re well prepared – there’s nothing our experienced and professional engineers can’t provide.

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS
Business as Usual
During these unprecedented times we would like to reassure our customers that for the time being we remain open and it is business as usual at all Golden Arrow Marine branches.
We are taking every possible action to protect ourselves and our customers. We ask all customers to not visit us or inform us prior to boat visits if they have been in contact with or have suspicion they may have contracted COVID-19.
At present our parts counters remain open, however as the situation evolves we may choose to provide an external collection point for spare parts with customers excluded from entering the building. In such an instance payment by credit/debit card or bank transfer will be required prior to parts collection.
Current Public Health England advice is that COVID-19 cannot survive for long on objects such as letters and parcels. It is therefore safe for us to mail order parts to you.
To further safeguard ours and your health we have adopted the following policy:
We will continue to monitor the situation and will update our customers and amend our practices and work procedures as felt necessary.

Description
Volvo Penta D2-50 is an in-line 4-cylinder, 2.2-litre, normally aspirated diesel engine using a cam driven, in-line injection pump, and freshwater cooling. With low cruising rpm, the engine runs quietly with minimal vibrations.
COMFORT
Smooth running with low vibration levels is achieved through a dynamically-balanced design incorporating highly efficient rubber isolation. Lower engine speed together with an inlet air silencer reduce noise levels and contribute to increased onboard comfort.
MARINE TORQUE
This engine delivers high torque at low rpm. That means plenty of power and quick response when manoeuvring in a marina, in strong head wind, and in confined spaces.
SOLID AND ROBUST ENGINE
With a rigid engine block and a one-piece cylinder head, this Volvo Penta marine diesel engine is designed and built to be immensely strong. This gives excellent reliability and long service life.
EFFICIENT CHARGING
High-capacity charging is standard. The 115A alternator has an electronic sensor which enables a higher battery capacity. Even at idle speed, the alternator gives more than 35A, and at cruising speed it delivers approx. 100A.
FRESHWATER COOLING
The engine is fitted with freshwater cooling as standard. This reduces internal corrosion and enables the engine to maintain a consistent and optimal working temperature under all conditions.
LONG SERVICE LIFE
A propulsion system from Volvo Penta is easy to maintain. Our comprehensive range of high-quality oil, lubrication and coolant ensures uptime and top performance in the long term. Accessories include a fuel pre-filter to keep the engine in good condition.
WARRANTY
For the first 2 years, the warranty covers the complete engine package and for the following 3 years, major components. Accessories bought simultaneously with engines will also benefit from an extended warranty period. Extended coverage available for full 5 years at additional cost.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
– 115A alternator with built-in charging sensor
– Electronic Vessel Control instrumentation and NMEA interface
– Dedicated oil change pipe
– Relay-activated starter solenoid
